2nd Call for Papers IEEE VR 2016
Greenville SC, March 19-26 2016
***************************************************

UPCOMING DEADLINES:
September 14, 2015: Paper abstracts due (REQUIRED)
September 21, 2015: Paper submissions due

IEEE VR 2016 seeks high‐quality, original papers in all areas related to
virtual reality, including augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR),
and 3D user interfaces, including, but not limited to, the following
specific topics:

Tracking and sensing
Input devices for VR/AR/MR
Advanced display technology
Immersive projection technology
Haptics, audio, and other non‐visual interfaces
Modeling and simulation
Computer graphics techniques for VR/AR/MR
Virtual humans and avatars
Multi‐user and distributed VR/AR/MR
VR systems and toolkits
3D interaction for VR/AR/MR
3D selection and 3D manipulation
Locomotion and navigation in virtual environments
User studies and evaluation
Perception, presence, virtual embodiment, and cognition
Teleoperation and telepresence
Applications of VR/AR/MR
All paper submissions must be in English.

Continuing our cooperation with the IEEE Transactions on Visualization
and Computer Graphics (TVCG) journal, paper submissions with substantial
contribution will automatically be considered for potential publication
in a special issue of IEEE TVCG, and we anticipate to accept a similar
or slightly higher number of TVCG papers as in recent years. If a paper
does not get accepted to TVCG, it will no longer be automatically
rejected or demoted to a ‘short paper’ format. Instead, IEEE VR will be
accepting a set of conference papers, continuing the highly successful
legacy of IEEE Xplore Digital Library papers under the IEEE Virtual
Reality brand name.
