*******************************************************************

ECCE 2015 is the 33rd annual conference of the European Association
of Cognitive Ergonomics. It is one of the premier conferences in
the area of cognitive ergonomics, human technology interaction and
cognitive engineering. It brings together researchers and
practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experiences in
all areas of cognitive ergonomics.

SCOPE

This year's main theme - "Understanding Design through Cognition" -
links ECCE 2015 to the co-located fourth International Conference
on Multimedia, Interaction, Design and Innovation (MIDI 2015).
Researchers are invited to consider how the broader view of
cognition that has developed in recent years can contribute to a
better understanding of design processes.

ECCE 2015 seeks to encourage dialogue and discussion among
participants about the main theme as well as general topics of this
conference series. Submissions in the form of long papers, short
papers, posters & demonstration papers are possible.

The main conference (1-3 July 2015) will be preceded by a day of
workshops and panel discussions that are open to the audience of
the joint conferences.

- Team dynamics in design processes
- Human decision making and problem solving
- Motivation, engagement, goal sharing
- Collaborative creativity
- Collaboration in (heterogeneous) design teams
- Decision aiding, information presentation and visualization
- Design methods, tools, and methodologies for supporting cognitive tasks
- Cognitive task analysis and modelling
- Methods and tools for studying cognitive tasks
- Trust and control in complex systems
- Situation awareness
- Human learning behavior
- Human error and reliability
- Affective/emotional aspects of human interaction with IT artefacts
- Resilience and diversity

IMPORTANT DATES

16 February 2015 Deadline for submission in all categories
17 April 2015 Notification of acceptance
15 May 2015 Camera ready version

TYPES OF PARTICIPATION

We invite various types of submissions. All submissions will be
peer-reviewed by an international panel of experts. Authors must
declare in which category their paper is submitted. All submissions
must be written in English and must follow the formatting guidelines
of the ACM proceedings contributions, available at:
http://www.sigchi.org/publications/chipubform/sigchi-papers-word-template/view.

Accepted papers of all categories will be published in the proceedings
and made available in the ACM digital library.

Workshops

Submissions for one-day or half-day workshops are invited. The workshops
will be held on 30 June 2015. Workshop proposers should submit a 2 page
paper using the Word Template. The workshop paper should explain the topic
of the workshop, how it is set up, the manner in which people can
participate, the aim and the potential outcomes of the workshop.
In addition, a cover letter should be included with background information
about the workshop organizers.

Accepted workshops will need to provide a short description of the
workshop for publication on the conference web site. This should consist
of the workshop title, abstract, names, affiliation of the organizers,
and submitted position paper or other participation requirements. Workshop
organizers are responsible for, and free to decide and specify if, how,
and where to publish accepted position papers.

Long paper category

Long papers should describe authors' original, completed research work
that contributes to the topics relevant to the conference. They should
not exceed the maximum length of 8 pages (ACM style sheet).

Short papers category

Short papers should describe work-in-progress, industrial experiences,
and innovative concepts or approaches which can promote discussions among
attendants. They should not exceed the maximum length of 4 pages
(ACM style sheet).

Posters & Demonstration category

The Poster and Demonstration sessions aim to show work in a setting which
facilitates open discussion. Authors who wish to present and demonstrate
their work, smaller projects, systems or prototypes in a more interactive
and informal setting during ECCE2015, may choose this category and provide
a description. Poster and demonstration papers should not exceed 2 pages
(ACM style sheet).
