*Organisers:* Alison Burrows (University of Bristol, UK), Rachael
Gooberman-Hill (University of Bristol, UK), David Coyle (University College
Dublin, Ireland), Lynne Baillie (Glasgow Caledonian University, UK), Mo
Haghighi (University of Bristol, UK), Rachel King (University of Reading,
UK)
*Call for participation*
We invite submissions that describe or reflect upon research related to the
development of healthcare technologies, which can be integrated into the
Internet of Things (IoT) to deliver meaningful solutions. We are
particularly interested in discussions of empirical research, new
technological designs, and position papers that present reasoned arguments
on future research directions for domestic healthcare technologies. We
welcome participation from a range of backgrounds, which we hope will
contribute to a thought-provoking discussion on personalised or
customisable healthcare solutions. The aim is to produce a
multi-disciplinary programme that brings together technical, design and
human perspectives on healthcare technology research.
Submissions should take one of the following forms:
- 2-4 page position paper addressing themes that are relevant to the
topic and aims of the workshop;
- 1 page expression of interest presenting a brief biography and
research interests relating to healthcare technologies.
All paper submissions should follow the ACM SIGCHI extended abstract format
(http://www.sigchi.org/publications/chipubform). Submissions do not need to
be anonymised. Submissions will be reviewed and accepted based on
relevance, quality, and how well they represent a range of disciplinary
perspectives. Submissions from outside the HCI community (including but not
limited to engineering, computer sciences, healthcare sciences, and social
sciences) are strongly encouraged. Accepted position papers will be
published on the workshop website, and authors will be allotted a time slot
to present their paper or demo during the workshop. At least one author of
each accepted paper must attend the workshop.
*How to submit*
All paper submissions should be emailed in pdf format and follow the ACM
SIGCHI extended abstract format (
