Call for papers: Special issue on Recent Advances in Ubiquitous 
and Context-Awareness using Mobile Sensors
International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks (open access and 
SCIE journal)

Recent years have witnessed tremendous developments in sensor 
technology, enabling
the ubiquitous monitoring of the physical environment as well as human 
Modern smart devices (e.g., smartphones, smart watches, and smart 
glasses) have
become an important part of our daily lives. This special issue aims to 
bring together
the expertise of researchers and developers in order to showcase the 
in research dealing with the challenges of ubiquitous localization and 
context awareness
using wearable/mobile sensors.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Human activity recognition
• Localization algorithms for wireless sensor networks
• Hybrid IMU pedestrian navigation & body mounted tracking
• Sound/magnetic/vision/light localization
• Collaborative localization
• Participatory sensing/crowdsensing

• Applications of location awareness & context awareness

• Innovative platforms and architectures for wearable/mobile computing
• Mobile sensor accuracy
• Mobile Sensor calibration/trimming
• Reliability/dependability of mobile sensor systems
