INTERACTIVE DEMOS (SCIENTIFIC PART OF MENSCH & COMPUTER)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the scientific part of the conference we invite to submit
contributions to the interactive demo track. Contributions can be
submitted in German or English.

Demos will demonstrate new interaction technologies and interaction
methods. Therefore, we invite to submit demos of new technologies, novel
forms of interaction, creative, and also interactive artistic works. The
following contributions may be submitted amongst other things:

- Interactive systems or demonstrators as innovative examples for
interaction. These may be novel hardware solutions, interaction concepts,
or software solutions from various application domains. The only
prerequisite is that the submission shall not have a commercial
background. We also welcome the submission of demonstrators that are
related to submissions of the full paper track at Mensch & Computer 2015.

The contributions will be judged and selected by a jury and will be
presented in a dedicated session. The idea is to experience, try out, and
discuss the demonstrators, and to create a fruitful discussion to
establish new contacts, exchange know-how, and start follow-up projects.
We plan to have the demo session in parallel or close to the evening event
(at the same location). Thus, a large audience for your demo is expected.
Also, we plan to have a demo madness session before the demo session to
allow for a very short presentation of each demo in front of the main
audience of the conference. This is meant to call the participants'
attention for the different demo contributions.

More detailed information on the contribution forms, submission
procedures, and templates for the scientific part are available online:

http://muc2015.mensch-und-computer.de/mci/cfp/#demos

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUBMISSION
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each demo submission should consist of the following documents:
- Demo abstract: Describe your system / your creative/artistic work in a
short form on 2 to 4 pages. The demo abstract should follow the author's
guidelines
(http://muc2015.mensch-und-computer.de/mci/cfp/#autorenrichtlinien) but
should not be anonymized. Submissions can be made in German or English.
We also ask to submit an accompanying video that demonstrates the main
features of the interactive system. Demo abstracts will be published in
the poster and workshop proceedings.
- Demo data sheet: This document describes in a short and structured form
which requirements the demo has regarding space, technologies, acoustics,
illumination and maybe logistics and required furniture. Also, the
document should contain how the visitors / participants will be able to
interact with the demonstrator / interactive system. Please use images and
sketches in this documents to illustrate the requirements. The document
does not have a specific template. It will not be published and only
serves to evaluate whether the conference venue can match all requirements
for the specific demo.

Submissions can only be made online using the conference management
system. Please create a new user account or use your existing account.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
REVIEWS
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The review process of the demo track will be less strict than for the
other scientific tracks (full papers) and will be oriented towards the
level of innovation, how exciting a problem is solved, the technological
novelty or the creative quality. One essential criterion will be how
interactive and inspiring a demo will be for the conference attendees. The
best demo contribution(s) will be awarded by the attendees and will
receive the audience award during the conference.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
PUBLICATION
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Submissions will be published by De Gruyter Oldenbourg in the form of
three conference proceedings, as well as digitally in the Digital Library
– Mensch-Computer-Interaktion der Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V.

Conference participants will receive a free
digital version of the proceedings. In addition, a print-on-demand version
will be available commercially.
