Key Technologies in 5 G Wireless Communication
First International Workshop
Co-located with Fifth International Conference on Future Generation
Communication Technologies (FGCT 2016)
Luton, London UK
August 17-19, 2016
(www.socio.org.uk/fgct)
Technically co-sponsored by UK & RI IEEE
Proceedings publication in IEEE Xplore

Wireless Communication Networks are perhaps the nucleus to the modern
communication technology and have profound influence in the lives of the
people.
5G is inevitably the result of the evolution of mobile communication and
is a major driver for the the networked world. To enable connectivity
for a wide range of applications and use cases, the nature of 5G
wireless access will extend far beyond the earlier generations of
communications. These capabilities include very high achievable data
rates, very low latency and ultra-high reliability. 5G wireless networks
will support 1,000-fold gains in capacity, connections for many billion
devices, and a 10 Gb/s individual user experience capable of extremely
low latency and response times. Deployment of these networks is expected
in 2020s. However until then and even after its implementation we need
continuous research in this domain.

Realizing its potential the workshop is planned and will be co-located
with FGCT 2015. The topics are listed but not limited to-

Cellular Architecture
Hyper-cellular Architecture
MIMO
Energy-efficient communications
Cognitive radio networks
5G networks and intelligent systems
Visible light communications
Radio Frequency (RF) spectra
World Wide Wireless Web (WWWW)
Dynamic Adhoc Wireless Networks (DAWN)
Real Wireless Communication
Green Communication
Distributed antennas, network coding, and advanced link/network
adaptation techniques
Performance Metrics
Interface Technologies
Device-to-device communication, and
Backhaul/access integration
