-- CALL FOR PAPERS --

4th Conference on Multimedia, Interaction, Design and Innovation (MIDI'16)

Gdansk, Poland, 11-14 September, 2016

https://www.fedcsis.org/2016/midi <https://fedcsis.org/2016/midi>

Organized by:

PJAIT - Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw, Poland

and Institute of Applied Computer Science, Lodz University of Technology,

ACM Lodz Chapter

within the framework of:

FEDERATED COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS CONFERENCE (FedCSIS)

organized at the Gdansk University of Technology

 * * *

* CONFERENCE GOALS

MIDI (Multimedia, Interaction, Design and Innovation) International
Conference is exploring design methods for creating novel human-system
interaction (HCI), developing user interfaces and implementing innovations
in user-centred development of advanced IT systems and on-line services.
MIDI Conference is a quality-oriented event with limited number of
participants in order to stimulate lively, thought-provoking discussions,
and to provide conditions for establishing memorable personal contacts.

MIDI Conference offers a unique opportunity to bring together researchers
and practitioners working in diverse areas of interaction design for digital
products of any type - hardware, software, services, games and art.

MIDI Conference invites novel submissions on all topics related to
innovative design of interactions between humans, products and on-line
services. We welcome submissions which include any of the following topics:

-- interactive multimedia and multimodal interaction

-- interaction in e-services design

-- IT-enabled innovation and creativity

-- novel HCI methodologies

-- last-minute reports and case studies.

MIDI welcomes submissions of original previously unpublished contributions
which are not submitted concurrently to a journal or another conference.
Vivid atmosphere of MIDI attracts both mature and young researchers,
including PhD students, graduate students and post-docs, who are all invited
to publish their analytical work or new research in relevant areas.

In addition to paper sessions, a live showroom "Interactive demos and
prototypes" is an important part of the MIDI program, giving participants
spark inspirations for their own projects and igniting their research ideas.

Previous MIDI conferences were held in Warsaw, Poland and have always
provided unforgettable experience in terms of both technical and social
layers: <https://midi.pja.edu.pl> https://midi.pja.edu.pl.

In 2016 MIDI will be organized in Gdansk, a beautiful town famous for its
outstanding historical venues, attractive museums and recently known also as
a nest of the Solidarity movement and the hometown of Lech Walesa.

* PAPER SUBMISSION, PUBLICATION AND INDEXATION

Papers presented during the conference will be submitted for inclusion by
IEEE Xplore Digital Library proceedings (ISBN and IEEE Catalog number) under
a nonexclusive copyright, thus further publication of extended papers are
possible. Conference proceedings will be submitted for indexation to
BazEkon, Thomson Reuters - Conference Proceedings Citation Index, SciVerse
Scopus, Inspec, Index Copernicus, DBLP Computer Science Bibliography and
Google Scholar.

FedCSIS proceedings are indexed by Web of Science since 2012. Polish
Ministry of Science assigns 15 points for each research paper published.
Papers acceptance and publication category will be judged based on their
relevance to the conference theme, clarity of presentation, originality and
accuracy of results and proposed solutions.

Authors shall submit draft papers (as Postscript, PDF of MSWord file), IEEE
template.

Further details can be found at

* BEST PAPER AWARD

"The Best Paper" award will be awarded to the outstanding quality work
presented at the MIDI Conference. The Program Committee in conjunction with
the organizing/steering committee will decide on the qualifying papers.
Award comprises a certificate for the authors and will be announced during
the conference banquet.
