[We apologize if you receive multiple copies of this email]

You are kindly invited to participate in the upcoming "Avanced practices in
Model-Driven Web Engineering" Workshop (APMDWE 2016).

*We extend the submission deadline for new papers. Best papers related to
Web Engineering will be proposed to be published in a special issue in the
Journal of Web Engineering (JWE)* (JCR impact factor 0.361). In order to
assure the quality of these extended versions, all these extended papers
will be newly reviewed by a single blind review process.

This workshop belongs to the 12th International Conference on Web
Information Systems and Technologies (WEBIST 2016) and it will be held at
the Barceló Aran Mantegna Hotel in Rome, Italy, April 23-25, 2016.

The workshop theme: "Avanced practices in Model-Driven Web Engineering".
Organisers and Chairs: Julián Alberto García García, Francisco José
Domínguez Mayo and Laura García Borgoñon
Contact: Julián García <mailto:[log in to unmask]>

**** Scope ****

The evolution and development of information systems and management systems
for Web were and are clearly important in the last years and at present. In
addition, the complexity and needs of higher quality of this kind of system
are growing. Consequently, advanced mechanisms are needed to improve the
development of these systems and improve the quality of whole process.
Research groups and universities have worked in proposing new methods,
techniques and tools to achieve these goals. Model-driven engineering (MDE)
is a well-known paradigm to be used applying advanced techniques
(Especially in web environments where this paradigm is known as MDWE). In
the last year is being widely used in this topic. This workshop is oriented
to offer a site to discuss about advanced techniques, new tendencies,
experiences of MDE applied on Web environments, including advances in tool
support and enterprise experiences.

**** Topics ****

Possible topics for submissions include, but are not limited to, the

- Advanced MDE for Web information system development
- Advanced MDE for Web information system design
- Advanced MDE for testing support
- Advanced MDE for cost reduction
- Advanced MDE for quality assurance
- Advanced MDE for web information system development
- Advanced MDE for business process management

**** Important Dates ****

*Paper Submission: January 31, 2016 (EXTENSION)*
Authors Notification: February 5, 2016
Camera Ready and Registration: February 22, 2016

The Journal of Web Engineering aims to provide a forum for advancing the
scientific state of knowledge in all areas of Web Engineering. Web
Engineering is the scientific discipline that studies the theory and
practice of constructing Web-based systems and applications. This includes
theoretical principles and systematic, disciplined and quantifiable
approaches towards the cost-effective development and evolution of
high-quality, ubiquitously usable Web-based systems and applications. It
fundamentally concerns the technology which enables the construction of Web
applications. Web Engineering, while rooted in Computer Science and
Engineering, draws from a diverse range of other disciplines, such as
information science, information systems, management and business, among
others.

Un Saludo. *Regards.*
