Call for Workshop Proposals
ICHI 2016 – IEEE International Conference on Healthcare Informatics
Chicago, Illinois, USA, October 4-7, 2016
Submission Deadline: March 11, 2016
============================================
Scope of the workshops
===============
Following the success history of the workshops at the ICHI Conference we
cordially invite you to submit your workshop proposal to the IEEE
International Conference on Healthcare Informatics (ICHI 2016) to be held
in Chicago on October 4-7, 2016.
Every workshop at ICHI 2016 can be half-day or one-day. It will be held as
part of ICHI 2016. Topics should be relevant to healthcare informatics. We
are particularly interested in the emerging topics that will draw
attention from the community. A full list of current topics of interest in
ICHI 2016 can be found at http://www.ieee-ichi.org/conference_topics.html.
The ideal ICHI workshop proposal will focus on a timely and emerging
topic, and be able to attract a number of interesting and high-quality
contributions that spark discussions in an informal setting. The
organizers can determine the format of the workshop that may include paper
presentations, invited talks, panels, or any other type of activity that
will foster the interaction and discussion of the audiences. We strongly
encourage interactive and communicative workshop formats that stimulate
conversations and inspire new research ideas in focused areas. Therefore
the amount of presentations should be kept to a minimum. The approved
workshop organizers are responsible to invite and review submissions,
decide the workshop program, and coordinate the workshop.
All ICHI workshop papers will be appear in the conference proceedings
published by IEEE and will be made available on IEEE Explore. The workshop
organizers will be invited to give a brief summary presentation of the
workshop results in the ICHI plenary session. It is foreseen that
workshops can be extended to a chapter in an edited book in a Healthcare
Informatics series by CRC press (to be confirmed).
