Please consider the following Call for Special Sessions Proposals and to
submit a paper to the conference.

2nd EAI International Conference on Smart Objects and Technologies for
Social Good
Nov 30 - Dec 1, 2016 | VENICE, ITALY

In GOODTECHS we are interested in experiences with the design,
implementation, deployment, operation and evaluation of smart objects
and technologies for social good. Clearly, we are not considering only
the so called first world as the scenario for this evolution; we also
refer to those areas where ICT is currently less widespread, hoping that
it may represent a societal development opportunity rather than a source
for further divide.

The GOODTEHCS 2016 technical program will include Special Sessions.
Their papers will be included in the proceedings as regular papers and
will could be selected to be published (an extended version) in the
Special Issues of Journals associated to the conference (Springer
Mobile, Networks and Application; EAI Transactions on Ambient Systems,
etc.) Their objective is to complement the regular program with new or
emerging topics that are of particular interest to the community.
Proposals on emerging or disruptive topics guaranteed to generate
significant interest in the community will be selected.

A Special Session proposal should be no more than 2 pages and should
* Motivation and rationale for the Special Session.
* Names, affiliations and emails of main organizers and tentative
composition of the committees.
* Planned advertisement
* Expected number of submissions and participants.
* A draft call for papers (as complete as possible).

Possible examples of Special Session proposals related to GOODTECHS
(please feel free to propose any topic of interest):
* eLearning
* Serious Games
* Social Networks
* AI for social good
* Digital cultural heritage
* Digital divide
* Inclusive technology
* Smart cities
* Smart transportation
* Technology for the environment
* Assistive Technologies
* ...

Email proposals in PDF (or txt) must be sent [log in to unmask]
