This is a reminder about two student travel grant opportunities to assist
Ubicomp/ISWC attendees.

**SIGCHI Student Travel Grant (SSTG)**
The deadline for students to apply for student travel grants for
Ubicomp/ISWC 2017 is *May 1*. See
http://www.sigchi.org/conferences/funding/student-travel-grant for
more details about SIGCHI Student Travel Grant (SSTG), including
details on what it covers, who is eligible, the evaluation committee
and criteria along with the application process (form, letters of
support) and deadlines. Note that the program has changed in many ways
for 2017.

The goal of the SSTG is to pre-approve students for grants before a
conference’s earliest submission deadline, so that if a student gets a
submission accepted, they can count on having a grant awarded for
travel to the conference. Awards will consist of an honorarium of up
to $1,800 USD to partially cover expenses necessary for attending a
conference.

**SIGCHI Gary Marsden Student Development Fund**
ACM SIGCHI Gary Marsden Student Development Fund is now open to
ALL conferences relevant to HCI. This fund is especially intended for
sponsoring SIGCHI student members who are postgraduate students
(Master or PhD degree) from and currently based in developing
countries to attend SIGCHI (co)sponsored conferences as well as other
HCI relevant conferences.

The deadlines are May 15, 2017 and August 15, 2017. For more details,
see http://www.sigchi.org/news/acm-sigchi-gary-marsden-student-development-fund-is-now-open-to-all-conferences-relevant-to-hci.
