Hi folks! We are going to have the first international workshop, MARI,
as an official workshop of OzCHI 2016 that is to be held in Tasmania,
Australia. This is intended to provide the opportunity for AR/MR
researchers, specifically in Asia/Pacific region, to exchange
friendships and ideas. Works in progress and case studies are also
welcome. Submission schedule is very tight, but please consider to
contribute.

About

As the advancement of mixed and augmented reality technologies
accelerates, not only the matured, complete studies but also early
results of innovative ideas and unique experiences of case studies are
getting more important to the research community. The First
International Workshop on Mixed and Augmented Reality Innovations
(MARI) provides an opportunity to share and discuss such original
ideas and precious experiences with researchers from all over the
world.

Keynote

Matt Adcock, CSIRO, Australia

Matt Adcock is a Senior Research Engineer and Experimental Scientist
at CSIRO Data61. He uses Interactive Computer Graphics, Computational
Imaging and User Experience Innovation to build systems that enable
new insights from 3D data. In 2015 he was named a Gold Disruptor by
the Australian Computer Society for his work on AR technologies for
conducting physical tasks over the Internet.


Topics
---------

MARI welcomes submissions on, but not limited to:

* Innovative concepts, hardware, software or applications but lacking
rigorous user studies

* Case studies in industry and education, cultural and artistic
installations using AR/MR technologies, and

* Interdisciplinary studies relevant to AR/MR technologies that do not
fit well into existing conference venues.

We expect to receive submissions in 4- or 2-page in the OzCHI
proceedings template format(*). All papers will undergo a double-blind
review process by the dedicated program committee and are evaluated on
the basis of their novelty, potential, and impact to the field in
addition to the clarity of writing.
