ACM Multimedia 2005 in Singapore, November 6-11, 2005 
************************************************ 

We are pleased to announce that ACM Multimedia 2005 will be held at
the Hilton Hotel, Singapore, from November 6-11.

We invite your participation in the premier annual multimedia
conference, covering all aspects of multimedia computing: from
underlying technologies to applications, theory to practice, and
servers to networks to devices.

*** TECHNICAL PROGRAM -

The technical program begins on Tuesday, October 8th, with an opening
plenary and keynote given by Kazumasa Enami, Director-General, Science
and Technical Research Laboratories, Japan Broadcasting Corporation.
The keynote is titled "The Future of Home Media."

The 3-day technical program includes:
  - 9 Technical sessions with talks from a wide variety of 
    multimedia disciplines
  - 2 Technical and Art Demonstration sessions
  - 3 Brave New Topic sessions
  - An evening Poster session with both technical and arts tracks
  - 2 Doctoral Symposium sessions
  - An Open Source Competition session
  - A Video Demonstration session

*** TUTORIAL PROGRAM -

Three full-day and two half-day tutorials will be given over two days,
Sunday and Monday, Nov. 6-7. Tutorials include:

- Multimedia Collaboration and Human-Centered Multimedia Information
     Systems
- Peer-to-peer Multimedia
- Media Semantics and the Statistical Foundations for Understanding It
- Session Initiation Protocol (SIP): A Protocol for Supporting
     Multimedia in Next Generation Networks
- Multimedia Content Repurposing
