Overview
We are currently looking to fill a Postdoctoral Fellowship position for a period of 1 year starting ASAP. The successful applicant will be involved in the Research Network "Immerse" which is a collaboration between 6 different Universities focusing on Video Game Immersion.
Other involvement in this position will involve, without particular order, the following items:
* Development of new research avenues in "Game Immersion"
* Organisation of Conferences, Meetings, and Events
* Information and communication of progress, key milestones, etc. through various channels
* Connecting different theme groups, seeking new collaborations, and aiding in research connections through site visits
* Disseminating information about current progress of each group through presentation tours
It is important to note that a considerable amount of travel within Canada is expected to be undertaken as part of this position and the ability to present and clearly disseminate information to others is paramount. In addition, the successful applicant must be able to understand the related research from each theme, present new ideas, and present them clearly in written format - thus a clear and proven ability in this area is also required.
Remuneration
Without any other considerations, remuneration will be $50,000 for the one year; other benefits or opportunities, as well as applications for additional matching funding, are feasible within the project and should be discussed upon acceptance - however no guarantees or warranties are made in respect to any matching funding.
Background
Applicants should have a background in Computer Science, Systems/Computer/Electrical engineering, or equivalent at the PhD level.
Applications
Applications should consist of an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (including a list of all publications), undergraduate and graduate transcripts, two letters of reference (with contact information), and a 1-page statement of interest; all documents should be in Adobe PDF format.
