MobileHCI 2018 Call for Posters
http://mobilehci.acm.org/2018/calls/posters
Important dates:
May 16th, 2018 - Submission of poster papers
Jun 20th, 2018 - Notification
Jul 2nd, 2018 - Camera-ready submission
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit their work to the
poster track at MobileHCI 2018. Work that is best suited for a poster
submission includes – but is not limited to – preliminary results,
provoking and current topics, novel experiences or interactions that have
not been fully tested but show great promise, summaries of small-scale
studies, design explorations etc. Posters provide the opportunity for
researchers to get feedback on early-stage work, discuss potential
collaborations and discuss the burning issues in MobileHCI in an informal
manner with the larger MobileHCI community.
Accepted posters appear in the ACM DL and in the conference adjunct
proceedings as extended abstracts. Copyright is retained by the authors,
and the material from them can be used as the basis for future
publications as long as there are significant revisions from the original.
About MobileHCI
===============
Mobile HCI is the world's leading conference in the field of Human
Computer Interaction concerned with portable and personal devices and with
the services to which they enable access. Mobile HCI provides a
multidisciplinary forum for academics, hardware and software developers,
designers and practitioners to discuss the challenges and potential
solutions for effective interaction with and through mobile devices,
applications, and services. 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of MobileHCI,
and this year we are looking forward to "Beyond mobile: The next 20
years"!
Submission details
==================
Poster submissions consist of an extended abstract paper in PDF format,
and must represent original work not under review or previously published
elsewhere.
The extended abstract has a maximum limit of 8 pages, including all
figures and references, and must be in the SIGCHI Extended Abstracts
Format, and comply with the ACM submitter agreement and author guidelines.
NOTE: this year the submission will consist only of the extended abstract
paper – a draft of the poster is not required. The submission will be
blind reviewed and must be anonymized --- please remove names and
affiliations from the first page and any other material that would allow
authorship to be easily identified by the reviewers. Your extended
abstract should be submitted by May 16th 2018 to the Precision Conference
System.
