Design4Health boasts a broad selection of keynotes ( , which will be followed by a discussion panel of academics, practitioners, and end-users who will supply crucial insights and concerns on the topic. Each keynote and discussion will launch a solutions session in which participants develop a research project towards a real, marketable solution.

Keynote Professor Franz Konstantin (Tino) Fuss has a dual background in medicine and bio-engineering. His keynote will focus on the design and commercialisation smart wearables and equipment technology, particularly his Smart Cricket Ball. The Smart Cricket Ball was designed and developed for measuring and calculating newly discovered performance parameters of bowling, such as precession speed of the spin axis, normalised precession, efficiency, precession torque, and power. Professor Fuss

Professor Fuss will be followed by a discussion panel led by Professor Leanne Boyd, the Executive Director of Nursing and the Cabrini Institute at The Cabrini Foundation. The not-for-profit healthcare service provider regularly implements smart wearable device technology to actively improve the clinical outcomes of patients.


The conference is to be held at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the beating heart of this fantastic city and the national home of sport. As the tenth^ largest stadium in the world, the MCG is steeped in a rich history and is located only minutes away from the heart of Melbourne with impressive views of the city.
