Call for Demos/Videos

MobiSys 2019 is seeking two types of submission: 1) demo submission and 2)
video submissions. Research prototypes and commercial products of mobile
computing technologies are welcome. However, MobiSys is not an appropriate
forum for marketing or sales presentations. Note that demos and videos of
previously published mobile systems are also welcome.

Demos and videos will be selected based on the merits and expected
interests from the MobiSys audience. The demo/video session is expected to
be a lively active forum so that the participants can discuss their work
and receive feedback from international leading researchers in mobile

Demo/Video Submission Guidelines

A demo/video submission requires an extended abstract no longer than two
8.5x11-inch pages, including all figures and references. The extended
abstract should describe the technical contributions of the mobile systems
presented in the demo/video. Please do not anonymize your submissions. The
extended abstract title should begin with "Demo:" for demo submissions; and
should begin with “Video:” for video submissions. Please use the same LaTeX
template for full papers of Mobisys 2019 for the extended abstract.
Submissions must be in Adobe PDF format. Authors remain responsible for
checking that their resulting PDF meets the MobiSys 2019 formatting

For the demo submission, it is also encouraged to submit an optional
companion video which illustrates the demo. The companion video should
highlight the technical contributions of the demo and should be no more
than one minute in length. Please include the YouTube URL of the companion
video in the extended abstract.

The accepted extended abstracts of the demo/video submissions will be
posted on the official conference website and will be included in the
conference proceeding and the ACM Digital Library. At least one author of
an accepted demo/video submissions should register the conference and
present the demo/video in person.

Best Demo Award and Best Video Award

All demo submissions will be considered for the Best Demo Award, and all
video submissions will be considered for the Best Video Award. An
independent review committee will select the winners at the conference.

Important Dates

Submission deadline: April 5, 2019, 23:59 AOE

Notification of acceptance: April 21, 2019

Camera-ready deadline: April 28, 2019
