BE PART OF CREATING THE DIGITAL FUTURE

Digital technologies play a considerable role in all areas of everyday life. Modern societies need professionals with thorough understanding of how to design and develop user-friendly interactive products and engaging ways to interact with various technological devices. Do you want to create a better future with digital services? Join the programme!

HTI PROGRAMME - ONE OF THE BROADEST IN THE WORLD

The HTI master programme offers an exceptionally broad set of studies in human-technology interaction and related fields. Human-Technology Interaction studies how technology affects people's lives and how to design efficient and engaging digital services. The topics include, for example:

- Digital service design, usability engineering and user-centric software production
- Multimodal human-computer interaction with visual, speech, gaze, haptic and gestural interfaces
- Interface solutions for virtual reality, industrial tasks, human-robot interaction and IoT & AI

The programme is offered by Tampere University (Finland). The university is internationally recognized for its work in the field of human-technology interaction. Students can apply for M.Sc. or M.Sc. (Technology) degrees.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

After graduating, there are many work opportunities to choose from. Examples include:
- User interface developer in different industrial sectors
- User experience and interaction designer of new digital services and products
- Usability and customer experience specialist

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM OUR STUDENTS?

It is not necessary to be a technology wizard, although we can turn you into one if you so desire. Students enter this master's programme from various bachelor's study backgrounds - such as computer science, psychology, industrial design, media studies, game studies, and sociology (please note that there are different requirements for the M.Sc. and M.Sc. (Technology) programs). Whatever your background, good grades in prior studies and a good command of the English language are required. We emphasize the importance of strong motivation to create a better future with digital solutions!

FREE EDUCATION FOR EU/EAA CITIZENS AND A GRANT SYSTEM FOR OTHERS

We offer EU/EAA citizens a first-rate academic education without tuition costs. For others, there is an extensive grant system to cover the annual tuition fee (12 000 e). Also, for the best students we offer grants to cover living costs.

FALL IN LOVE WITH TAMPERE AND FINLAND

There is life outside the studies. Tampere has a laid-back atmosphere but vivid cultural life, and provides a good environment for both studying and leisure. Finland is famous for not only the 'thousands of lakes' and beautiful nature but also the safety, social stability, and top ranks in happiness and equality. Here you can take part in all kinds of sports and leisure activities or just relax and enjoy the scenery.
