CALL FOR IoP 2019 Workshops Proposals (Leicester, UK)

The 5th IEEE International Conference on Internet of People (IoP 2019)

August 19-23, 2019

Leicester, UK

The 5th EEE International Conference on the Internet of People (IoP 2019 is a premier forum for sharing theoretical, experimental and operational results in the area of digitally mediated interactions. IoP 2019 invites workshop proposals addressing basic research questions, new methodologies and approaches, innovative technologies, and emerging research areas within IoP. IoP 2019 Workshops provide a forum for in-depth discussions, resource exchange and networking related to specific topics within IoP, and should explore, provoke and reflect on novel perspectives and ways for making people and devices collaborate and retrofit each other towards a Smarter World.

Workshops should not only consist of paper presentation sessions, but focus on community building and communal knowledge creation through exchanging ideas, discussions and/or other activities that are ignited by individual position papers in which participants highlight their notions and experience in relation to the specific topic of the workshop.

Workshops will be held on the day preceding the start of the conference: 19th August, 2019 and will require a minimum of 6 participants (in addition to the organizers) in order to take place. We encourage workshop organisers to create web-based resources for their workshops so that advertising, submission and organisation can be handled online.

Workshop proposals should consist of an abstract and a detailed proposal of the workshop program. The abstract should be no more than 150 words. The body of the proposal should be no more than 3000 words, and should include a description of the theme(s) of the workshop, the workshop goals and activities, short bios of the organiser(s), the maximum number of participants expected, and the means of recruiting and selecting participants.

Submissions should follow the same Paper Submission Guidelines for the main conference The length of a workshop proposal submission should be about 6 pages. Workshops will be selected through a single-blind review process and the organizer’s names and affiliations must be on the submission. Submissions should be sent by email to the IoP 2019 Workshop Co-chairs using ”IoP 2019 workshop proposal” as the email subject.

Important dates:
