HUC'99 International Symposium on Handheld and Ubiquitous Computing
September 27-29, 1999, Karlsruhe, Germany
in cooperation with ACM and GI

The symposium will bring together researchers and practitioners from
different communities to explore links and synergies between personal
technologies (handhelds, wearables, mobile phones etc) and
environment-based technologies (smart environments, networked appliances
etc). The event will be held in Karlsruhe/Germany at the Centre for Art
and Media, an inspiring environment with interactive, hands-on
installations.

The advance programme includes keynotes, peer-reviewd papers and
posters, tutorials and workshops, and is now online at

We also advise early hotel arrangements as there will be a number of
