Besides academics, Pittsburgh is a great place for living (http://www.coolpgh.pitt.edu/). The University of Pittsburgh is located in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh – a vibrant area with public parks, restaurants, libraries and museums all within walking distance! Oakland is also home to several other universities including Carnegie Mellon University. Our faculty have strong collaboration ties with Carnegie Mellon. Our PhD students frequently take graduate classes there through PCHE program (https://pche-pa.org/<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpche-pa.org%2F&data=02%7C01%7Cpeterb%40pitt.edu%7C01d84220693347f73e7d08d6571599a0%7C9ef9f489e0a04eeb87cc3a526112fd0d%7C1%7C0%7C636792147628652659&sdata=W50M8CaBd39Ax7rwTPu%2Bg8npyw0zHg8Y8pKTM5o9%2FoE%3D&reserved=0>) and a number of ISP graduates continued their training at Carnegie Mellon as Postdoctoral Researchers.
