To the members of the cognitive science community:

Please consider joining the Cognitive Science Society for 2003. This
is an exciting time for the Cognitive Science Society, and we hope
you will again be supporting us for this year. We have begun a
virtual colloquium series. Our annual conference will be held in
Boston this summer. Once again, the Rumelhart Prize will be awarded
at the conference. The quarterly newsletter continues to provide
updates on the latest news in Cognitive Science. Members receive
discounts on a variety of publications from Elsevier, Taylor &
Francis, and for a limited time on the new Encyclopedia of Cognitive
Science.

All this, and you get all six issues of the journal Cognitive Science
as well as electronic access to the journal!

Membership for 2003 will be $75 ($50 for students). Full members who
join or renew before January 31, 2003 will receive a $10 discount,
and will pay the 2002 rate.

In addition, those of you interested in saving a little money on
membership can take a new 3-year membership for the discounted rate
of $200. That is a $25 savings over the current membership rate for
this 3-year period. Please consider supporting the society with a
3-year membership.

Once again, you can join the society on-line. If you are currently a
member and have an account on the website, start by going to
https://www.cognitivesciencesociety.org/logon.asp and logging on to
the site. Once you log in, you will be given the option to renew and
to change your information.

If you are a new member, then go to
https://www.cognitivesciencesociety.org/memberapp.asp and fill out
the information on the form.

Finally, if you prefer to fax or mail your payment information,
download the pdf form from
http://www.cognitivesciencesociety.org/contact.html, fill it out and
mail or fax it to the addresses on the page.

Thanks for your continued support of the Cognitive Science Society.
We look forward to serving you in 2003.
