" Chinz 05 Invitation "
CHINZ 2005, Auckland, New Zealand 6, 7 & 8th July 2005
Building systems that provide an excellent user experience is one of the biggest
challenges for us today. The CHINZ conference is the annual New Zealand gathering
of researchers and practitioners in Human-Computer Interaction. The Wednesday
workshops are a quick way to update your knowledge on pen computing, user testing,
form-oriented analysis or picture scenarios (just the thing, if you are looking
into mobile solutions). During Thursday and Friday's conference sessions we showcase
current research in CHI topics varying from: design techniques and tools, to user
testing techniques and providing more natural interaction experiences.
Thursday's highlight will be an invited talk by Clive Lansink on your ethical and
legal responsibilities to provide interfaces that are accessible to visual impaired
people. Friday includes a keynote address by Dr Richard Mander, CTO at Navman and
winner of the 2004 World Class New Zealander Award from NZTE.
Venue: University of Auckland, City Campus, Building 303, Computer Science.
