will be held colocated with the Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP)
Summer meeting in Tacoma, Washington on Monday, July 15th, 2019, at the
Greater Tacoma Convention Center. There is no cost to register. Register

Building on Success for a Sustainable FutureThis year’s DataONE Community
meeting is an important step in the transition from the past ten years of
direct NSF funding to a sustainable DataONE program. The community’s input
into this transition, as represented in new and revised guiding documents,
is vital. Review and ratification of new guiding documents will be an
important feature of this year’s meeting. Those DataONE User Group members
in attendance at the meeting will be eligible to participate in the
ratification votes.The DataONE Community Meeting will be a 1-day event
featuring: - Plenary presentations- Topical breakout sessions- Ratification
of revised and new foundational documents- Community member presentations-
Early evening poster receptionAbstracts for talks and posters are solicited
during the registration process. Talks will be approximately 10-15 minutes
in duration, to be confirmed with development of the agenda. Oral
presentations are not guaranteed and some submissions may be accepted as
posters instead. Poster submissions will remain open until close of
registration. DataONE encourages DataONE Member Nodes, data scientists,
researchers, scientists, students and others to submit abstracts for
posters and talks.Please also consider forwarding this DataONE Community
Meeting information with colleagues and networks that are interested in
