Pre-Conference Workshops & Tutorials

Co-Chairs:

Freydis Vogel (University of Nottingham, UK)

Sherice Clarke (University of California at San Diego, USA)

Andrew Joyce Gibbons (Durham University, UK)

The CSCL 2019 Pre-Conference Workshops and Tutorials Committee invites
submissions of proposals for Pre-Conference Events. Full-day workshops
will be scheduled on Monday June 17th, and half-day workshops on Tuesday
June 18th. The main conference program will begin on the afternoon of June
18th.

In short, here are the most important dates for your submission:

*	Proposals for full or half-day events should be written in
English.
*	Proposals should be submitted no later than January 15, 2019 via
the online submission system:  <https://new.precisionconference.com/cscl>
https://new.precisionconference.com/cscl
*	February 15, 2019 – Notification of acceptance
*	March 15, 2019 – Submission of the final 4-page summary for
publication in conference proceedings

Pre-conference events should focus on themes within the scope of CSCL. We
would like to encourage particularly the submission of pre-conference
events that cohere with the conference theme theme A wide lens: Combining
Embodied, Enactive, Extended, and Embedded Learning in Collaborative
Settings, and be organized as a workshop or a tutorial. For instance,
these events could be organized as “deep dives” in which participants
spend several hours trying out a CSCL technology and/or scenario,
discussing the design motivations and providing constructive critiques
towards design improvements.
