CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
International Summer School on HCI and Cycling
8th to 12th of July 2019
Oldenburg, Germany
https://cycling.offis.de
The bicycle as an individual means of mobility is sustainable and promotes health. Both people and the environment benefit from many cyclists. Technologically, however, the bicycle lags behind other means of transport. Safety, comfort and assistance functions have hardly changed in the last 200 years.
The International HCI Summer School on Cycling therefore explores and discusses new approaches to human-machine interaction on and around the bicycle, on clothing, on the body and on helmets, so that cycling is even more fun and we can continue to travel safely and ecologically sustainable in the future. The participants will be inspired by many bicycle tours in the northwest (https://cycling.offis.de/cycling-tours/) and talks from industry and research.
The Summer School is sponsored by the ACM. Bicycles are available to all participants. If you would like to use your own, you can of course bring your own. The routes between the locations can be covered by train. Transport of the bikes and luggage will be taken care of.
Click here to register directly: https://cycling.offis.de/participate/
And on this page you can find the exact schedule: https://cycling.offis.de/course-contents/
It would be nice if we could welcome you in July in the northwest.
