Dear colleagues,
We invite Work-in-Progress paper submissions to 19th ACM Interaction Design and Children (IDC) 2020<https://idc.acm.org/2020/call-for-papers/> conference, held on June 21-24. ACM IDC is the premiere international conference for researchers, educators and practitioners to share the latest research findings, innovative methodologies and new technologies in the areas of inclusive child-centered design, learning and interaction.
Work-in-Progress papers should not exceed 6 pages in length including references (ACM SIGCHI Extended Abstract Paper Format<http://idc.acm.org/2019/idc-proceedings-format/>). This track is suited to late breaking work and work in progress. For this reason, papers that do not fit these categories will be less likely to be accepted for publication than those that do. We define late breaking work as current work that is very new, we define work-in-progress as emerging work that has not been fully realized or developed, for which full empirical data may not yet be available, or that has not yet reached a level of maturity expected for other types of submissions.

All accepted Work in Progress papers will be peer reviewed and included in the conference proceedings published in the ACM Digital Library. Submissions should include the author(s) name and affiliation - in other words, they are not blind. Publication of an accepted paper in the proceedings requires that at least one author of the paper registers for and participates in the conference.

Important Dates:

· Submission deadline: 6 April 2020

· Notification: 27 April 2020

· Camera Ready: 4 May 2020

· Early Registration: 30 April 2020

Works-in-Progress (WIP) Presentation Instructions

Accepted WiP papers will present their contribution during a 'madness' session and as a poster at the conference. The accepted WiP contributions will be divided into two groups, with one group presenting on Wednesday June 12th and the other on Friday June 14th. Please check the program for your assigned day.

'Madness' Session: Each presenter should prepare a single slide to present during the session. Each presentation will be strictly limited to 1-min. Please prepare your presentation accordingly. The essence of the 'madness' session is to provide conference attendees with a very quick overview of all the posters that will be up for the day. It is recommended that you think of the 1-min presentation as a pitch to encourage attendees to visit your poster later on in the day. Your one slide should be emailed to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by June 7th, 2019. All the slides will be collated as one single presentation for the 'madness' session, and so you will not be able to use your own laptop for presentation.

Poster: Each presenter will prepare a physical poster with a maximum size of A0 or 3'x4'. Either landscape or portrait format is acceptable. The posters will be placed on the wall around the perimeter of the main conference room. Presenters should plan to put up their poster on their assigned day during in the morning 30 minutes before the first session. Please do not be late as we cannot disrupt presenters. Posters will be up all day. Presenters should be by their posters for presentation during lunch on that day. Posters should be taken down after the last session of the day. If presenters do not take down their posters, the conference organizers will take down and dispose of the posters so that space can be made for the next poster session.
