Clustering Workshops

Workshops that foster clustering opportunities between H2020 projects (and other research efforts) are a core element of Sustainable Places each year. We're anticipating between 15-20 workshops clustering over 40 projects. So far, submitted workshop themes include Demand Response, Island Sustainability, Energy Storage, Influencing Behavior Change in EE, BIM, Concentrated Solar Power, Solar Thermal, District Heating & Cooling, Business Models for Deep Retrofit, Building Renovation in Cities, Harnessing Sun and Ambient Heat and others. The above composite image is a selection of the projects we currently have visibility upon clustering at SP2019 within these workshops. Join us!
Discover more about these workshops as they publish details here:

Italian National & Regional Events

Sustainable Places will host a series of workshops and presentations focused on Italy and the Italian market (some also in Italian). For our local area and national participants, don’t miss the opportunity to find out more about cutting edge technology and innovation that are changing how energy is managed and traded, with case studies from Sardinia and Milan.
We can also anticipate opening remarks from Sardinian governmental officials, a plenary talk from sustainability projects at UNICA involving regional actors, and a focus on demand response initiatives happening in Sardegna and across Italy.
Another highlight is a 3-hour training block (for CE credits) on Criteri Ambientali Minimi which is free of charge offered by SP2019 patron Green Building Council Italia from its Chapter Sardegna.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorships allow us to take the program further and to increase the quality of the event overall. We take the opportunity to recognize and thank our first sponsor, the Legrande Group, and anticipate the announcement of two more this week. Our target is five industrial sponsorships. Social Program

City Tour – Discover Cagliari
Discover Cagliari’s historical neighborhoods with a 2 hours free guided tour at the end of the first conference day on 5 June. Limited spaces available (60). Register here.

National Park Visit
Immediately following the event on the afternoon of 7th June, the organizing committee is making available a guided visit to the Molentargius-Saline natural park which covers over 1600 hectares and which is famous for the numerous colonies of flamingos that live there. Since the decommissioning of the salt extraction activities, the park has been redeveloped and transformed into what is now one of the richest birdlife park of Sardinia. The park is ideal for an experience in contact with nature, just five minutes away from the city center and the guided tour will allow you to discover the characteristics and peculiarities of the area.
