STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS

IFIP WG 7.3 PERFORMANCE 2015

33rd International Symposium on Computer Performance, Modeling,
Measurements
and Evaluation

http://performance15.conference.nicta.com.au/

October 19-21, 2015
Sydney, Australia

*******************************************************************************

Thanks to ACM SIGMETRICS and the Computer Performance Foundation, a
few Student Travel Grants are offered to graduate students who
will attend the 33rd International Symposium on Computer Performance,
Modeling, Measurements and Evaluation 2015.

All PhD and Master students are encouraged to apply. Thus, applications
from students not belonging to the performance community that wish
to have the opportunity to interact with our community, exchange
experiences,
make contacts, etc, are also welcomed.

The amount awarded to students will depend on the total funds available
and the number of successful applications received.
The maximum grant amount is 850USD (approximately 800eur).
The grant money is only intended to help defray the travel and lodging
costs,
and not the conference registration fee.

The application deadline and details on where to submit will be
announced later.

How to apply: An application for a Student Travel Grant should consist of
a letter from the applicant (maximum of one pages), a recommendation letter
from the student's supervisor, and a one-page curriculum vitae of the
applicant.

The letter from the applicant should include a brief summary of his or her
research interests, an explanation of how attending IFIP WG 7.3 Performance
2015 would be beneficial for his or her studies, and an estimate of
expenses
for attending the conference.
