Call for Participation

#IndiaHCI2020 Workshop: Teaching HCI in South Asia: Designing inclusive HCI

9:00 - 12:00 AM (India Standard Time)

6th November 2020


We invite position papers for the IndiaHCI2020 Workshop on “Teaching HCI in
South Asia: Designing inclusive HCI Curriculum”.

This is a 3-hour long workshop that will offer an interdisciplinary forum
of discussion for both academics and practitioners interested in teaching
HCI as a course and conducting research, building applications in the field
of HCI using technology.

This workshop focuses on three grand objectives to accomplish:


   Exploring the landscape of HCI curriculum.

   Understand the different stakeholder needs and skills.

   Designing an inclusive curriculum for HCI.

Position paper: Researchers and practitioners from both academia and
industry with an interest in teaching HCI as a subject are invited to
submit a position paper. The paper should be no more than 4 pages in the
CHI Extended Abstracts format.

   We are accepting submissions on a rolling basis.

   Last Date to Submit Position Paper: 30th October 2020.

   Date of the workshop: 6th November 2020.
