Dear Fellow Researchers,

We, researchers at the University of Glasgow, are looking for 20 participants resident in Australia to take part in our online diary study that aims at exploring unnoticed observations on personal devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptop etc.

When a user interacts with technology in a public area (e.g. using a smartphone on a bus or using an ATM at a train station), their interactions might intentionally or unintentionally be observed by others that surround them. This study is concerned with understanding instances of observations where the user did not give consent to be observed. An example of this is when a person intentionally or unintentionally observes content on another person's phone without asking for permission.

The diary study runs for 4 weeks starting from 6th May 2021 to 5th June 2021. Participants will be rewarded with $10 Amazon vouchers as a reward for their time.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Must be over the age of 18
  2. Must be a resident in Australia for the complete duration of the study
