CALL FOR PARTICIPATION - ACM AVI2020 Workshop
***Visual user interfaces for human motion***
http://hcihumanmovement.org
8th June 2020 - Island of Ischia, Italy
*** Remote attendance will be facilitated ***

OVERVIEW
Visual interfaces are important in human motion to capture it, to visualize
it, and to facilitate motion-based interactive systems. Across multiple
applications, how to improve end-user engagement?
In the series of workshops on HCI Challenges for Human Movement Analysis,
this second event to be held jointly with the ACM International Conference
on Advanced Visual Interfaces. Join us, in person or online, to define and
discuss methods and experiences of design and use of visual interfaces for
motion-based interaction.

DATES
March 23rd: Submission deadline
April 13th: Notification of acceptance
June 8th: One-day workshop
June 8-12th: Main conference AVI 2020

CONTRIBUTIONS
We invite users, designers, practitioners and researchers of systems having
human-movement as input for interaction to discuss topics related to:
- Motion-based Interaction,
- Full-body interaction,
- (Multi)Sensory Interfaces,
- Movement computing and motion capture,
- Embodied interaction,
- Natural user interfaces,
- Gesture interaction and recognition,
- Activity recognition,
- Wearable devices,
- Biofeedback

Participation is open and not limited to authors of position papers.
Remote attendance will be facilitated, contact us for more details:

Workshops' participants can either register for the workshop only or the
main conference ACM AVI2020, https://sites.google.com/unisa.it/avi2020/

POSITION PAPERS
Participants are invited to submit position papers presenting applications,
case studies, design or evaluation methods outlining challenges in terms of
- body, movement and data visualization, e.g. graphical user interface,
 multimodal feedback
- user experience, e.g. instructions, requirements, evaluation
- human factors, e.g. motor skills, ergonomics, limitations

Position papers up to 4 pages, excluding references (self-referencing
welcome), no specific format is required.
At least one author must attend the workshop.
Submissions and enquiries: [log in to unmask]

EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit an extended version of
