Dear Colleagues,

Please see below the SITIS 2019 Call for Papers. The deadline has been
extended to *September 23, 2019*.

SITIS 2019 - 15th International Conference on Signal Image Technology &
Internet Based Systems

Imperial Hotel Tramontano, Sorrento, Italy

November 26-29, 2019

The SITIS conference is dedicated to research on the technologies used to
represent, share and process information in various forms, ranging from
signal, image, and multimedia data to traditional structured data and
semi-structured data found in the web. SITIS 2019 aims to provide a forum
for high-quality presentations on research activities centered on two main
tracks and several workshops:

* Track on Signal Image & Vision Technologies (SIVT)

The SIVT track focuses on recent developments in digital signal processing
and pays particular attention to evolutions vision, image analysis, pattern
analysis and recognition, coding and authentication, and retrieval

* Track on Intelligent Web Computing and Applications (I-WeCA)

The I-WeCA track focuses on emerging concepts, architectures, protocols, and
methodologies for both information management on the Web and the Internet of
Things technologies that connect unlimited numbers of smart objects to make
our environment more interactive.

* Workshops:

  * Appearance and Imaging (WAI)

  * Applied Computational Intelligence (ACI)

  * Artificial Intelligent Approaches for Image Processing (IWAIIP)

  * Computational Intelligence for Multimedia Understanding (IWCIM)

  * Distributed, Autonomic and Robust Wireless Networks (DARWiN)

  * Human Tracking and Behaviour Analysis (HTBA)

  * Innovative eLearning Technologies (eLearning)

  * Intelligent Multimedia Information Retrieval and Applications (I-MIRA)

  * Knowledge Acquisition Reuse & Evaluation (KARE)

  * Numerical Algorithms and Methods for Data Analysis and Classification

  * Open Business Intelligence Systems (OBIS)

  * Quality of Multimedia Services (QUAMUS)

  * Ubiquitous implicit BIOmetrics and health signals monitoring for
person-centric applications (UBIO)

* Location *

The venue of the 15th edition of SITIS will be in Sorrento. Sorrento is
perched high on the cliffs overlooking the Gulf of Naples, offering
breathtaking views of the spectacular landscape, which captivates visitors.
The convenient geographical location makes it an ideal departure point for

Paestum, and Vesuvius, all located within a 50 km radius.

* Submission and publication *

Papers must be up to 8 pages and follow the IEEE double-column format.
Submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least three peer reviewers. All
papers accepted for presentation at the main tracks and workshops will be
included in the conference proceedings, which will be published by IEEE
Computer Society and referenced in IEEE Xplore Digital Library, DBLP and
major indexes. An extended version of selected accepted papers will be
considered for publication in special issues of major journals.
