VL/HCC 2020 Call for Participation
2020 IEEE Symposium on Visual Languages and Human-Centric Computing
11-14 August, 2020 - Online Virtual (formerly Dunedin, New Zealand)
http://vlhcc.org

Registration (Deadline August 7):
Please come and join us online on August 11-14, 2020 for the IEEE
Symposium on Visual Languages and Human-Centric Computing (VL/HCC 2020)!
https://conf.researchr.org/attending/vlhcc2020/Registration

From the beginning of the computer age, people have sought easier ways
to learn, express, and understand computational ideas. Whether this
meant moving from punch cards to textual languages, or command lines to
graphical UIs, the quest to make computation easier to express,
manipulate, and understand by a broader group of people is an ongoing
challenge. The IEEE Symposium on Visual Languages and Human-Centric
Computing (VL/HCC) is the premier international forum for research on
this topic. Established in 1984, the mission of the conference is to
support the design, theory, application, and evaluation of computing
technologies and languages for programming, modeling, and communicating,
which are easier to learn, use, and understand by people. We will hold
the IEEE Symposium on Visual Languages and Human-Centric Computing
online, also co-located same time as ACM ICER.

Highlights of VL/HCC 2020 include two top-level keynotes and a graduate
symposium. We selected different types of high quality contributions: 15
technical research papers, 15 short papers essentially describing
ongoing work, and 9 Show Pieces and Posters.

Conference Program:

Keynotes:
- John Grundy, Monash University, Australia. Human-centric Software
Engineering
- Cynthia Solomon, USA. Inventive Minds: Active Thinking and Learning

Early registration deadline is August 7, 2020.
We look forward to seeing you at VL/HCC 2020.

General Chair:
Craig Anslow, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand

Program Chairs:
