The CHCCS/SCDHM Graphics Interface Early Career Researcher Award aims to recognize, support and encourage outstanding early career faculty members in the fields related to the Graphics Interface conference, which covers all aspects of graphics, human computer interaction and visualization. The award is given annually to up to two individuals and presented at the annual Graphics Interface conference. Each awardee receives a plaque and a one-page announcement in the Graphics Interface proceedings.

Eligibility
Eligible nominees:
- must currently hold a tenure-track faculty position at a Canadian university,
- must have started their first tenure-track position less than five-years ago, minus the length of eligible delays in research (e.g., illness, maternity, parental).
        - Eligible leaves are credited at twice the amount of time lost.
        - Professional leaves (e.g., training, sabbatical, administrative) are not credited.
- may have any citizenship or visa status in Canada.
