Dear colleagues,

In the EU FP7 Project "CleanSky - Network for Cloud Computing
Eco-System", a Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) of several
leading research institutions and industry labs, offers structured
training for early stage researchers (ESRs) and experienced researchers
(ERs) on the area of energy-efficient cloud computing.

The project consortium provides 12 vacancies (9 ESRs i.e., PhD positions
each for 36 months and 3 ERs i.e., postdoc positions each for 24
months), several of which are still accepting applications. These
researchers will be employed under attractive salary (annual income
before tax: 44000-70000€ for PhD students, and 63000-70000€ for
Postdocs, depending on the researcher's family status and which country
the hosting institution resides) and excellent working conditions. Each
PhD student/Postdoc will have the chance visiting world-leading industry
labs and research institutions for 3-10 months within their employment.
In UGOE we have still one PhD position open:
http://www.cleansky-itn.org/open-positions/esr7-transforming-enterprise-data-centers-by-consolidation-university-of-gottingen/

Coming into direct contact with a number of world-renowned researchers
in the field will not only contribute to a high-quality training
experience but will also form important links crucial to the candidates'
future professional career. Prior experience amongst the partners shows
that this type of research organisation has the potential to massively
boost the effectiveness and impact of results by access to a range of
expertise, facilities and data. This represents a unique environment in
the world, for young researchers interested in cloud computing.

Marie Curie rules: According to Marie Curie fellowship rules, at the
time of recruitment by a partner (1) a qualified candidate will have a
maximum of 5 years of research/work experience since obtaining the
degree which formally allows him/her to embark on a doctorate; (2)
he/she must not have resided or carried out main activity in country
applied for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to
recruitment to this project.

Interested candidates are welcome to find more details and apply through
the project webpage http://www.cleansky-itn.org/

Best regards,
Xiaoming
