The National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) in the UK is a recognised centre of international excellence in computer animation (No. 1 in the UK). It hosts the new MSCA Cofund postdoctoral training centre on applied creative technologies CfACTs (www.bournemouth.ac.uk/cfacts-research<http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/cfacts-research>). CfACTs is now recruiting 3 postdoctoral research fellows supported by the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action. It welcomes applications from any country of the world. This will be a great opportunity for a talented researcher to develop his career further, where dedicated research resources/support is provided. The fellows are expected to be seconded into one or more Partner Organisations for the majority of the two-year programme, with full academic support, jointly supervised by BU senior academics and industry experts.
Salary: £50,317 per annum (pro rata)

The NCCA is a department of Bournemouth University in a beautiful coastal town in England. Bournemouth beach is ranked among the best 25 beaches in the world, according to Tripadvisor's Travellers Choice awards. It takes about two hours to travel from Bournemouth to London by train or by car.
An applicant will need to submit a research proposal up to 10 pages and an academic CV. All submissions will be evaluated through a rigorous peer reviewing process by external experts. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Decision of an offer will base on the quality of the research proposal and the performance in the interview.
To be eligible to apply an applicant must:
1. Be in possession of a doctorate or have at least four years full-time equivalent research experience.
2. Not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the United Kingdom for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline.
The fellows will research and develop new applied digital creative techniques, collaboratively with industry partner organisations; and apply them in sectors including but not limited to, computer animation, visual effects (VFX), computer vision, visualisation, healthcare, retail and assistive technology. These new techniques will also bring important productivity improvements to many industries.
