ID&A short description
=============================
What is ID&A ?
"ID&A" is a quarterly magazine devoted to creative and innovative
interactive multimodal communication, aimed at everyone with an interest
in design, architecture, entertainment, ICT, psychology and cognitive
science, social phenomena, processes and management ... in other words, in
"Interaction Design and Architecture(s)"
"ID&A" is targeted to engage everyone that is creative and innovative, and
aims to be the "piazza" where to discuss, to exchange ideas, to
brainstorm, to promote creativity and innovation in
"Interaction Design and Architecture(s)"
"ID&A" is born as a spearhead of this new Humanism in which the individual
is placed at the center of contemporary multimodal communication, a form
increasingly mediated by MACHINERY that spreads out through the different
environments, that clothes us and accompanies us in our everyday life,
thar we rely upon increasingly for the use of services and in the
development of our social relations and “brainframe”… but that,
paradoxically enough, is becoming more and more discreet and invisible in
its pervasiveness.
Neo-Humanism heralds a “new world” that becomes a “new way”: a new way to
think, to plan, to create, to produce, to live, to see, to smell, to
taste, to hear, to feel, to operate … to perceive and put into effect.
Ways that are new but at the same time as old as mankind, like the
centrality we enjoy and the “naturalness” of the languages we have built
up over time and use.
A new world that, while absorbing progress, prefers to resemble the old as
much as possible in the programmatic choice of naturalness of use and
expression as well as the cognitive sustainability of innovation. A new
world that cannot exist without the contribution of human beings, their
vision, creativity, project-developing capacity, and imperfection.
"ID&A" has been conceived as a place/environment conducive to interaction,
where the authors’ ideas and the contributions will naturally lead to
change and evolution. ID&A does not want to be a box for ideas but the
place where this evolutionary mutation can occur.
Target of ID&A
The magazine is addressed to all those for whom creativity and design
serve as tools for innovation and in broader terms to all those who
believe in the central importance of mankind and sustainable progress.
It seeks to provide a point of reference both for those working in the
great “sea” of ICT (from electronics to computer science) and for those
designing interaction in architecture, industrial design, services,
entertainment and performance art as well as our everyday life in general,
for those who probe social processes, for those who never cease to explore
the wonders of the human machine …
"ID&A", indeed, is a magazine that lives within the "here and now", and
holds interdisciplinary interests, ability to be surprised, thirst of
knowledge, interest in abstraction and experimentation, pleasure of
creation, technological wizardry, thrust for innovative production,
attention to emotions and aesthetics...attraction towards a form of
technological multimodal communication that has people at its centre.
