Bordeaux Computer Science laboratory LaBRI

The "Distributed Algorithms" group of Bordeaux Computer Science
laboratory LaBRI (CNRS & Université de Bordeaux) offers a Phd position
in Distributed Computing.
The position is for three years starting in September/October 2013.
The topic is transactional support for multiprocessor synchronization.
Part of the work will be devoted to the design of highly concurrent data
structures for transactional memory and to prove inherent limitations on
the achievable efficiency.
APPLICATIONS :
The candidate should have a MS in computer science or equivalent with a
strong background in theoretical computer science, in particular in
distributed algorithms, data structures and complexity theory.
Applications should contain :
- a statement of interest
- a curriculum vitae
- academic records (if available) and
- the name and contact information of two reference persons.
The SUBMISSION DEADLINE is May 3, 2013

Practical Information :
Teaching is optional. 28K€ gross salary per year (about 1350€ net salary
