The (tentative) program for PODC 2004 is now on the web under the URL:

The deadline for early registration deadline has been extended to 28
June 2004. The fees after this date become much more expensive. We
strongly recommend early registration.

Another attraction (beside the larger program offered in PODC this year)
is the fantastic sightseeing opportunities of Newfoundland (see, for
example, http://www.podc.org/podc2004/attractions.html).  We also remind
the participants that there are PODC-negoitated discounts on the
accomodations (and we can also suggest alternative, even cheaper,
accomodations).  Please refer to the PODC web site.

Since PODC will be taking place at the height of Newfoundland's tourist
season, we strongly suggest that you make the hotel reservation as soon
as possible!  We estimate that there will be no rooms available in the
conference hotel (the Fairmont) after no very long.  Availability of
accomodations in St. John's is very tight in July.

Finally, please note that the deepest discounts offered by Air Canada
will expire 30 days before the conference (i.e., on 25 June); other
discounts will continue to till apply). There is also a conference
discount for a car rental.
