The Institute for Data Engineering at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) https://www.tuhh.de/ide/homepage.html for the earliest possible date, is looking for a:

DATA CUSTODIAN (m/f/d) / DATA STEWARD (m/f/d), PhD or Postdoc level

full-time and limited until June 30th 2027. The remuneration is in accordance with TV-L 13 (DATA CUSTODIAN) or TV-L 14 (DATA STEWARD). The position is part of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) "SMART Reactors for Future Process Engineering".

###Your Tasks###
* Developing a data management plan for the CRC SMART Reactors in close cooperation with the involved researchers from the fields of process engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, math, and computer science
* Providing advice and support to researchers in the area of research data management, in particular assisting them in implementing data management plans
* Building awareness for sustainable research data management and collaborating in the development of strategies for data sustainability, including software, applications and databases
* Designing and delivering training on research data management and open science

###Your Profile###
* For the Data Custodian position, a very good Diploma or Master university degree preferably in one of the engineering sciences involved, and in particular in the field(s) of computer science, business informatics, data science, or a related discipline is expected
* For the Data Steward position, a PhD in data-driven engineering, e.g., process engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, or computer science is expected
* Very good programming skills
* Very good communication skills
* Knowledge in data stewardship or industry experience is welcome
* The ability to develop methods, concepts, and models, as well as their realization and evaluation and the willingness to contribute to scientific projects
