Smart Cities 2.0: How AI and IoT are Transforming Urban Living

The development of smart cities has introduced a significant paradigm shift in urban living worldwide, as cities leverage new technologies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and residents' quality of life. Artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are at the forefront of this transformation as smart cities enter a new phase of innovation.
By connecting devices and infrastructure, AI and IoT enable cities to process and analyze immense amounts of data efficiently. These technologies have already made a significant impact across various areas of life. IoT, for instance, plays a crucial role in intelligent systems such as logistics, healthcare, and automotive digital technology.
To highlight the latest advancements and explore the opportunities and challenges of integrating these technologies into city infrastructure, this special issue titled ""Smart Cities 2.0: How AI and IoT are Transforming Urban Living"" is essential. It provides policymakers, urban planners, and stakeholders with valuable insights into how these innovations are shaping the future of cities. Sharing best practices, this issue showcases the potential of these technologies in advancing smarter, sustainable, and liveable cities.
