You can use various Unix tools (e.g., wc) for basic SLOC counting.
If you want to do a bit more, you should consider a SLOC counting
tool.  The USC Center for Software Engineering distributes a SLOC
counter (CodeCount) which contains modules for Ada, C/C++, COBOL,
Fortran, Java, Pascal, PL1, and 1750A assembler.  The counter and
source code are freely available under the USC-CSE Limited Public
License.  USC-CSE home page is http://sunset.usc.edu
(While you're there you want to look at the COCOMO II software
cost estimating tools.)
