DIA suffers from very poor traffic flow design.  It has a single way
(train) of getting from the terminal to the B and C concourses which of
course means that there is a single point of failure when the trains go
down.  Consequently, alternatives are now being explored which will
mitigate the huge flaw such as opening up other tunnels for pedestrian
use.  Software really has little to do with this and most of the recent
train failures (5 or so since April) have been due to hardware problems.
