Dear Richard:

I usually don't respond to email while on travel because then people write
to me at this address. Please don't! I only use it when at Kinko's in
strange cities. Otherwise, please respond to

In answer to your question re: Ada Articles in the Mainstream Press. I was
able to get an article in the upcoming January Linux Journal which is
focused on networks. The article is on Ada in Top Layer's AppSwitch
application. However, because the application was only prototyped in Linux,
and the OS is now used on a few engineer's desks and in other narrow
applications in improving AppSwitch, the article was relegated to Linux's
"Only On-Line" section. I was glad to get it there.

IEEE Journal will publish an article of Randy's on the Ada tools &
compilers' "conformance assessment" process.

Otherwise, I am still working on it. All and any help is appreciated. But
I am sensing a much warmer feeling towards Ada and articles on Ada than I
have felt in the previous decade of writing about the language. I will
happily continue to announce when articles appear. The reason I haven't
mentioned this before is because, as you well know, it's best not to
announce the article's appearance prematurely, as I am now doing, given
editors' whims.

Thanks and regards,
Ann
