I'm interested in porting software available for Amateur Radio to Ada as
a example of REAL programs that get wide useage written in Ada.

Topics include :
        Training :
                Technical / Electronics
                License Exams
                Morse Code
        Design and Analysis
                Antenna Design
                Circuit Design
        Operations Planning
                Propagation Prediction
                Emergency Communications Resource Planning
        Operating Modes/Support
                Packet/ radio networking
                APRS / GPS
                Contest Logging
                Amateur Satellites
                        On-Board Code
                        Ground Station Control
                Remote Control
                Distibuted Comm Control

Also some new equipment is avaliable as "rack" mounted gear where all
user interfaces are provided by a PC. The "radio" has no display on
buttons, etc !!

Software in the rack box and the PC might be a good example to show
Ada's strength.

Much of this type of software is available in C, C++, and Java. Have
you heard of any of these types of projects in Ada?

play with software the more likely you are to FIX it."
