Roadmap to Distributed Object Computing and the NET for Global Financial
 Services, Banking and Insurance

Westchester, NY -- Financial OOTS 97
Object Technology and the Net have redefined how corporate IS designs,
develops and deploys enterprise systems. To aid industry in making this
paradigm shift, the OMG membership is collaborating on a number of
initiatives including the vertical industry Object Oriented Technology
Symposium (OOTS) series. The first of this years vertical forums will focus
on the distibuted computing needs of Financial Services, Banking and
Insurance Institutions and will be hosted by industries top solution
providers in Tarrytown, NY on May 29th and 30th.

The FINANCIAL OOTS format, will be similar to the recent FED OOTS program
(see which helped bootstrap over 700 government and
industry executives last fall. Other vertical industry events will follow,
including Telecommunications/Media (COMM OOTS), Government/Aerospace (FED
OOTS), and Medical/Health Care (MED OOTS).

FINANCIAL OOTS will be presented in four key "steps" addressing:
 1) Enterprise Architecture and Design, 2) Enabling Technologies for
Client/Server and the NET, 3) Distributed Computing Infrastructure, and 4)
Data Management, Access and Security. Concurrent tracks will address the
needs of CIO's, Architects, and Developers, and will detail real world
 industry trends and applications.

This forum is a unique addition for business managers and technologists who
need to understand how distributed object computing can be applied to their
critical business problems. To ensure a top echelon educational and
informational experience, FINANCIAL OOTS has drawn on the combined expertise
of industry's foremost authorities (see participants listed below).

For additional information you may call 1-888-SEE-OOTS or visit the
conference web site at For your convenience, an
