Standard Ada does not have a such a package, but GNAT has a package that
will
give you SPITBOL patterns, which are a superset of what Perl gives
you (GNAT.Spitbol.Patterns).  I am using those to do an application which
is
similar to one that was originally done in Perl, and they are just great!
They
are well enough commented in the headers to use, even if you do not know
Snobol/Spitbol.
