        Greetings,
The DC SIGAda group announces their next meeting.

Attention: To Members and Friends of DC SIGAda; Next Meeting: On Thursday, 14 October 1999, 7:30 pm, social and                 refreshments at 7:00 pm.                         DC SIGAda will feature a presentation titled                 "An Overview of the Ada Semantic Interface Specification                 (ASIS)." Address: Lockhead Martin Corporation                 9211 Corporate Boulevard.                 Rockville, Maryland 20874 Presentation: A high level overview of ASIS.                 ASIS is a set of Ada packages, the spec of which is open and                 published by Ada compiler vendors that supplies an interface                 to the semantics of Ada programs.                         Formally speaking, ASIS is an interface between an Ada                 environment as defined by ISO/IEC 8652:1995 (Ada Reference                 Manual) and any tool requiring information from this environment.                 Since it is a published interface and is supported by multiple                 Ada vendors, the interface is independent (as is possible) from                 the compiler implementation.                         The ease of making ASIS-based tools enables code                 developers of Ada applications with a powerful capability to                 develop their own tools to support their own specific analysis                 needs. Presenter: Joseph R. Wisniewski, Commercial Software Solutions, Ltd.                 E-mail Address: [log in to unmask]                                 [log in to unmask]                 Voice/Msg 877/301-538-0136                                 301-640-3142                 Fax 301-987-9709                                 301-640-4036 Profile: Mr. Wisniewski is the owner of his own software engineering                 firm, Commercial Software Solutions, Ltd.
