I've been programming in Ada since 1983. But right now, here in
Australia, there are virtually no Ada jobs at all. What few there are
would require me to move hundreds or thousands of km away. As my wife
has a career in Canberra, this is not an option.

I'm writing C++ now. Every day, I see larval bugs waiting to hatch
downstream. Bugs entirely preventable using Ada, entirely unavoidable
using C++. Fortunately, I also have a part-time job teaching Ada at the
Australian Defence Force Academy. Pay is less than half of my C++ hourly
rate, but it keeps me from going berserk with frustration. Fortunately,
the government department I'm working with at the moment has its act
together regarding QA, so the project is doable. Just twenty times more
costly than it need be. SIGH.

If anyone knows of any telecommuting jobs available, which DON'T require
US Citizenship, please let me know!
